Heptanenitrile is an organic compound that belongs to the group of aliphatic hydrocarbons. It has a chemical stability of 100°C and a high reactivity with amines. Heptanenitrile can be used as an activating agent in chemical reactions, such as the oxidative carbonylation reaction of aliphatic hydrocarbons. It is also used as a cross-linking agent for polymers and can be found in eye drops to treat eye disorders.
