1H-indazole-5-carboxylic acid is a tautomeric form of 1H-indazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid. It is also a functional group in organic chemistry that is the 6-carboxylic acid functional group. The compound is found in an organic solvent and has hydrogen bonding interactions with other molecules. There are many functionalities and functional groups, which can be either hydrophobic or polar. 1H-Indazole-5 carboxylic acid inhibits the activity of rat liver microsomes and has been shown to inhibit cardiovascular diseases by acting on the cytosolic ATPase. It also has photocatalytic activity when exposed to light, which may be due to its ability to generate reactive oxygen species.
