4-Imidazole carboxylic acid is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of aromatic hydrocarbons. It is an organic acid that can be found in natural compounds, such as plants, lichens, and fungi. 4-Imidazole carboxylic acid has been shown to inhibit the formation of dna duplexes, which inhibits bacterial growth by preventing cell division. This compound also has antihypertensive activity and protects against ventricular dysfunction caused by drug-induced cardiotoxicity in rats.
