Informazioni sul prodotto
3-Iodopyridin-2(1H)-one is a synthetic compound that can be synthesized by a cross-coupling reaction. It is also produced by irradiation of 3-iodopyridine with ultraviolet light. The nucleophilic attack on the phosphine in the presence of an electron donor produces the desired product. This reaction mechanism is shown below:
The reaction can be carried out with carbodiimides, ligands, halides, or unsymmetrical molecules to form isomeric products. Demethylation of the terminal alkyne followed by vinylic substitution leads to 3-iodopyridin-2(1H)-one. The nature of this molecule is vinylic and it has a molecular weight of 141.3 g/mol.
