Isopropyl cyclopropanecarboxylate is a reactive ester that can be used as an oxidation catalyst. It is a colorless liquid with a viscosity of 0.07-0.1 Pa·s at 20 °C and 0.7 Pa·s at 100 °C, which means it is miscible with water and other organic solvents. Isopropyl cyclopropanecarboxylate is an acid catalyst that can be used in pharmaceutical production to produce active esters from carboxylic acids, amides, and alcohols. The molecule has been shown to have anti-cancer effects by inhibiting cell proliferation in animal models. As well as this, the compound has also been found to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of butyric acid.
