- 1-Isopropylhydrazine
Isopropylhydrazine is an irreversible enzyme inhibitor that binds to the hydroxyl group of enzymes. Isopropylhydrazine has been shown to inhibit the b-raf protein kinase, and lipid kinase, leading to a decrease in inflammatory diseases. This drug inhibits the production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes. Isopropylhydrazine also inhibits the activity of p-450 enzymes, which are important for metabolizing lipids and drugs. The chemical structure of isopropylhydrazine contains a reactive carbonyl group that can react with other molecules, such as hydroxide ions from hydrochloric acid or amines from piperonyl butoxide, forming new compounds.
