Informazioni sul prodotto
Isoxazol-4-ol is a heterocyclic compound that has been found in plants, such as wheat and peanuts. It is used as an herbicide in fields, and has been shown to have a growth-regulating effect on plants. Isoxazol-4-ol has also been studied experimentally for its reductive properties, which include the conversion of methanol to methyl formate or dimethyl ether. Reduction of carboxamide groups yields amides or ureas, which are used in the synthesis of chalcones and prostanoids. Isoxazol-4-ol can be isolated from plants by steam distillation or extraction with chloroform.
