4-Isopropylphenoxyacetic acid is a solvent that is used for sample preparation in reversed-phase liquid chromatography. It has a boiling point of 230 degrees Celsius and is soluble in water, acetone, ethanol, ether, and chloroform. This solvent can be used for the preparation of samples for analysis by liquid chromatography with a reversed phase column. 4-Isopropylphenoxyacetic acid can also be used as an herbicide or as a reagent in organic synthesis.
