1H-Indazole-3-carbonitrile belongs to a class of drugs that inhibit the activity of acetyl-coa carboxylase, an enzyme involved in the synthesis of fatty acids. It has been shown to be effective against hypertonia and modulated diabetics. 1H-Indazole-3-carbonitrile also inhibits viral replication and is used as an antiviral agent.
