1-Iodo-3,5-dimethylbenzene is a reactive chemical compound that is used as an intermediate in organic synthesis. This compound can be activated with trifluoroacetic acid to produce the corresponding iodomethyl ester. The 1-iodo-3,5-dimethylbenzene molecule has two methoxy substituents and four methyl groups.
