1-Pyrenebutylamine is a reactive, laser ablation and binding constants. The interaction of 1-Pyrenebutylamine with l-glutamic acid has been shown to modulate the focus of laser light. Simulation results have shown that the transport properties are affected by the presence of 1-Pyrenebuttylamine. The interactions between 1-Pyrenebutylamine and micelles have been studied using fluorescent probes and red shift experiments, which show a decrease in the distance between them. Copolymerization reactions with polyacrylamide gel were also studied, showing that naphthalene polymerized more rapidly when 1-pyrenebutylamine was present.
