LJH685 is a molecule that inhibits the protein S6, which is an important regulator of cell growth and survival. LJH685 also has potential in regenerative medicine and is currently being used to study the mechanisms of neural degeneration. LJH685 inhibits tumor growth by blocking the cellular proliferation pathway, which may be due to its inhibition of protein s6. LJH685 also has low toxicity, with no signs of adverse effects on retinal neurons or ganglion cells at doses up to 10 μM. In addition, this drug does not inhibit the structural analysis of proteins or cellular functions at concentrations up to 10 μM.
