Informazioni sul prodotto
Methyl 3-isocyanatothiophene-2-carboxylate is a potential agent that can be used to treat prostate cancer. It is an antagonist of the prostatic α1A adrenergic receptor and has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of PGE2, which is a prostaglandin that has been implicated in prostate cancer tumorigenesis. Methyl 3-isocyanatothiophene-2-carboxylate binds to the α1A subtype of the adrenergic receptor with high affinity, showing selectivity for this receptor subtype. The compound was synthesized from methyl thiobenzoate and potassium cyanide and has been shown to have selective binding properties in functional assays and binding assays.
