Descrizione:
6-Methyl-2,3,4,9-tetrahydro-1H-carbazol-1-one is a chiral reductive amination catalyst that can be used for the synthesis of achiral and racemic amines. It has been shown to catalyze the reductive amination of aldehydes and ketones with primary or secondary amines. This compound also has been shown to be biologically active in various ligand binding studies with an affinity for opioid receptors. 6-Methyl-2,3,4,9-tetrahydro-1H-carbazol-1-one can also be used in asymmetric synthesis as a chiral ligand. Testing has shown that this compound binds to dopamine D2 receptors and serotonin 5HT2C receptors with high affinity.
