Informazioni sul prodotto

- 1-methyl-
1-Methyl-1H-benzimidazole-2-thiol is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme aldose reductase, which converts glucose to sorbitol. It has been found to be more effective than methimazole (methimazole is used for the treatment of hyperglycemia in diabetes mellitus) and has been shown to reduce alanine levels in serum. 1-Methyl-1H-benzimidazole-2-thiol outperforms benzannulation, glyoxal, and mercaptoacetic acid as ligands for surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy. It has shown biotransformed properties, with an increase in concentration during metabolism by the liver. 1-Methyl-1H-benzimidazole-2-thiol also shows anti corrosion properties due to its ability to inhibit metal corrosion such as copper and zinc.
