Descrizione

5-Methyl-1,3-benzoxazol-2-amine is a sealant that can be used to treat choroidal neovascularization, hypertrophy and cavities. It has been shown to be effective in animal models for the prevention of infectious diseases such as urinary infections and sepsis. 5-Methyl-1,3-benzoxazol-2-amine has also been shown to have estrogen receptor modulating activities. It has been found to increase the levels of inflammatory cytokines IL6, IL10 and TNFα in vitro. In vivo studies have shown it to inhibit the proliferation of various autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis.
