Informazioni sul prodotto
- Pyrrolidine, 3-Methoxy-
3-Methoxypyrrolidine is a metabolite of the neurotransmitter dopamine. It is an aziridine, which is a compound with a ring consisting of three carbon atoms and one nitrogen atom. 3-Methoxypyrrolidine has been shown to modulate the release of dopamine in the cerebral cortex. The synthesis of 3-methoxypyrrolidine starts with the decarboxylation of L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-DOPA) followed by reduction to L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylpyruvic acid (L-DHPPA). The final step is the condensation of L-DHPPA and formaldehyde to give 3-methoxypyrrolidine. This process takes place extracellularly in the nervous system and yields low concentrations of 3-methoxypyrrolidine.BR>BR>3-Meth
