Informazioni sul prodotto
6-Methylquinoxaline is an organic solvent that belongs to the class of quinoxalines. It is used as an equilibrating agent in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and as a precursor for the synthesis of other drugs. 6-Methylquinoxaline has been shown to be effective in treating Parkinson's disease, although its dopamine receptor binding affinity is weak compared to other quinoxalines. 6-Methylquinoxaline also has photoreceptor properties and can be used in hydrotalcite photocatalysis. The hydrogen peroxide generated from this process can be catalyzed by ammonium salts or n-oxide compounds, transferring electrons to an electrophotographic plate.
6-methylquinoxaline is also used in the production of polyurethanes because it can be oxidized with alkali metals such as sodium or potassium, forming a n-oxide group on the molecule.
