Methyl 1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine-3-carboxylate (MPPC) is a ferrite that binds to copper oxide and has been shown to have allosteric binding properties. MPPC has been used in the treatment of human diseases and is known for its ability to remove copper from the body. It has also been found to be an effective coagulant for blood and can reduce blood viscosity. MPPC binds to sulfide, which may be due to its reaction with hydrogen sulfide gas, forming a soluble complex. The molecular weight of MPPC is 208.09 g/mol and it is insoluble in water, but soluble in organic solvents.
