3-Methoxy Acetaminophen is a reactive chromatographic method that separates and identifies the various isomers, including 3-methoxy acetaminophen. The enzyme hydrolysis of 3-methoxy acetaminophen was studied in animal models and it was found that this compound could be metabolized to form the corresponding acid conjugates in blood samples and urine samples. Acyl chain lengths were determined by GC analysis. These results were then compared with those obtained from spectrometric assays to determine the identity of the metabolites.
