7-Methoxytryptamine is a natural amino acid and neurotransmitter that binds to serotonin receptors in the brain. It has been shown to act as a vasoconstrictor in the vessels, causing an increase in blood pressure. 7-Methoxytryptamine also stimulates muscle cells, causing contraction.
