1-(3-Methyl-benzoyl)-piperazine is a chemical that belongs to the group of analogues. It is a stable analogue of piperazine, which has been shown to have repellent properties and toxic effects on mosquitoes. The permeation of 1-(3-methyl-benzoyl)-piperazine through human skin was analyzed using an HPLC-UV method. It has been shown to be stable at various temperatures, but can cause toxic effects if ingested or inhaled. 1-(3-Methyl-benzoyl)-piperazine has also been found to have insecticidal activity against mosquitos and other insects.
