It has been shown to reduce the amount of magnesium required in sectioning by minimizing binding to the surface. 2-Methyl-1,3-thiazole-4-carboxylic acid amide has been used as an amphipathic binding agent in liposomes. This compound also has antimicrobial activity against microbial infections such as mastitis and skin injury.
