4-Methyl-1-naphthaleneboronic acid is an organic compound that belongs to the group of phenylboronic acids. It is used in cross-coupling reactions with various metal catalysts, such as palladium, to form carbon-carbon bonds. 4-Methyl-1-naphthaleneboronic acid has been shown to react with bromohydrins and peroxide, which lead to the formation of boronic acids. These compounds can be used in aryl coupling reactions with other molecules to form epoxides or carbon nanotubes.
