Informazioni sul prodotto
Methyl 6-acetoxyangolensate is a furan with antifeedant activity. It has been shown to have insect repellent properties in the form of senegalensis, which is an insect that is found in Africa and causes damage to crops. Methyl 6-acetoxyangolensate has been shown to be effective against malaria, as it inhibits the growth of Plasmodium falciparum by disrupting DNA synthesis. The compound also has a toxic effect on insects, as it prevents the uptake of diacetate, a sugar molecule that is essential for energy production. Methyl 6-acetoxyangolensate can be synthesized from benzoic acid or methyl 3-hydroxybenzoate.
