N-Methyldipropyl amine is an amide of primary amino and ethylene diamine. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of papilloma virus in human cells. This drug can also be used for the treatment of infectious diseases such as HIV and Hepatitis C, which are caused by a virus. N-Methyldipropyl amine prevents viral replication by inhibiting the activity of spermidine/spermine N1-acetyltransferase, which is required for viral DNA synthesis. N-Methyldipropyl amine is also a corrosion inhibitor that has been shown to be effective against both acidic and alkaline environments, making it suitable for industrial use. The chemical stability of this compound makes it a good candidate for many applications in synthetic chemistry.
