Informazioni sul prodotto
- (E)-Methyl 3-(4-fluorophenyl)acrylate
Methyl 4-fluorocinnamate is a synthetic compound that is a serotonin reuptake inhibitor. It was developed as an active ingredient for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. Methyl 4-fluorocinnamate has been shown to be effective in the treatment of humans with depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and anxiety disorders. The drug inhibits serotonin reuptake by competitively binding to the serotonin transporter (SERT) on the presynaptic neuron. This leads to increased extracellular concentrations of serotonin, which results in a decrease in depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and anxiety disorders. Methyl 4-fluorocinnamate has been studied extensively using magnetic resonance spectroscopy and other methodologies on humans and animals.
