4-Methoxy-3-(methoxymethyl)benzaldehyde (4MMMB) is a benzene derivative that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. It is an aldehyde with the chemical formula CH3C6H5CHO. 4MMMB has been shown to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis by inhibiting cyclooxygenase, which converts arachidonic acid into prostaglandins. This inhibition of prostaglandins causes anti-inflammatory effects in animal models.br>

4MMMB may also be used as a precursor for the production of other drugs, such as antimalarial drugs and agents for treating cancer.

4MMMB has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of leukemia cells, which are cancerous cells that grow rapidly and out of control. This drug binds to DNA and inhibits the production of RNA, leading to cell death by inhibiting protein synthesis.br>
