Informazioni sul prodotto
1-(Methylsulfonyl)-4-nitrobenzene is a sulfone, which is a type of organic radical anion. It exists as the sulfoxide and hydroxide in solution. This compound can be synthesized by reacting nitrobenzene with sodium hydroxide in acetonitrile. The yield of 1-(methylsulfonyl)-4-nitrobenzene is high, and it has been shown to be photoelectrochemically active when irradiated with light. 1-(Methylsulfonyl)-4-nitrobenzene can also be used as a precursor for biphenyl synthesis. The structure of this compound consists of a benzene ring with two methyl groups at the positions ortho to the nitro group on opposite sides of the ring and one sulfur atom bonded to each methyl group. When irradiated with light, 1-(methylsulfonyl)-4-nitrobenzene yields
