Methoxydiphenylphosphine is an amide with a nucleophilic attack. It can be synthesized from chloroform, sodium carbonate, and trimethyl phosphite. The reaction mechanism of methoxydiphenylphosphine has been studied by NMR spectra and kinetic studies. Methoxydiphenylphosphine reacts with polymers to form polymeric photoinitiators that can initiate metathesis reactions. This compound also reacts with hydroxyl groups to form functional groups.
The chromatographic science of methoxydiphenylphosphine has been studied through the use of gas chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography.
