Informazioni sul prodotto
7-Methoxy-1-indanone is a haouamine that has been shown to have benzyl group. The molecular orbitals of 7-methoxy-1-indanone are composed of two delocalized pi electrons with one orbital on each methyl group. This molecule is an intermediate in the dehydration reaction catalyzed by lipase, and it can also be used to synthesize cyclopentenones and dienones. The crystal structure of 7-methoxy-1-indanone has been determined using single crystal x ray diffraction, which revealed that the molecule has a bicyclic structure with an annulene core. The grignard reagent reacts with 7-methoxy-1 indanone to produce a diketone and a cyclopentenone. The optical properties of this substance are unknown.
