Informazioni sul prodotto
- 5-Nitro-1-(Phenylmethyl)-1H-Imidazole
- 1-benzyl-5-nitro-1H-imidazole
5-Nitro-1H-imidazole is a nitro compound that has been shown to interact with carbanions. The nitro groups in this compound are the same as those found in nitroglycerin, but the nitro groups in 5-nitro-1H-imidazole are not bonded directly to each other. This compound is an imidazole derivative and is one of two isomers of 5-nitroimidazole. The nitro group on this compound is positioned differently than the nitro group on its mirror image, which makes it possible for the two compounds to have different chemical properties. The 5-nitronitro group on 5-nitro-1H-imidazole can be deprotonated by a strong base or a nucleophile, giving rise to a carbanion that can be analyzed using ethylene gas or proton NMR spectroscopy.
