2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5-Octafluoropentyl Methacrylate is a monomer that belongs to the methacrylates. It can be used as a cross-linking agent in plastics and rubber. 2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5-Octafluoropentyl Methacrylate has been shown to have a high reactivity with aliphatic hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons. This chemical has also been reported to be an effective conditioning agent for paint particles and magnetic resonance spectroscopy contrast agents.
