Descrizione

Phenylsulfonylacetic acid is an organic compound that contains a hydroxyl group, an alkynyl group, and a phenylsulfonyl group. It has been shown to have synergistic effects with other agents when used in the treatment of inflammatory diseases. Phenylsulfonylacetic acid is metabolized by esterases and glucuronidases to form the corresponding carboxylic acid and sulfonic acid. This reaction is facilitated by the presence of fatty acids. The bioavailability of phenylsulfonylacetic acid is dependent on its molecular weight; it's more soluble in water for low-molecular-weight compounds than for high-molecular-weight compounds.
