6-Prenylchrysin is a natural compound that belongs to the group of chemotherapeutic agents. It is a multidrug that has been shown to be effective against cancer cells resistant to conventional chemotherapies, such as mitomycin C, doxorubicin, and cisplatin. 6-Prenylchrysin inhibits the function of ATP binding cassette transporter by prenylation. This inhibition causes an accumulation of intracellular prenyl groups, which are then converted into solubilized 6-prenylchrysin. Hydrogen bonds and molecular docking analysis have been used to study the interactions between 6-prenylchrysin and ATP binding cassette transporter. Drug binding has been shown in vitro.
