Descrizione

2-Pyrazine acetic acid is a synthetic, carboxylic acid. It is used in research as a reagent for the preparation of hexapeptide and heptapeptide derivatives. 2-Pyrazine acetic acid has been shown to inhibit thrombin activity by competitive inhibition as well as inhibiting inflammation and pain in animal models. It also inhibits prostaglandin synthesis and may have anti-inflammatory effects due to its ability to inhibit cyclooxygenase (COX) enzyme activity. 2-Pyrazine acetic acid has also been shown to be an inhibitor of zolpidem binding to GABA receptors, with some selectivity for the alpha subunit of the GABAA receptor.
