- 7-Azaindole-3-Carboxylic acid
1H-Pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine-3-carboxylic acid is an organic compound that belongs to the class of compounds called ligands. It is a crystalline solid and has a molecular weight of 149.1 g/mol. The compound has two different isomers: cisplatin or transplatin. The cisplatin form interacts with DNA by binding to the nitrogen atoms in the carboxylate groups of the nucleotide bases, forming adducts with apical chloride and 6-aminonicotinic acid. The transplatin form interacts with DNA by binding to the nitrogen atoms in the carboxylate groups of the nucleotide bases, forming adducts with apical chloride and deuterated 6-aminonicotinic acid.
