(1R, 2R) -2-phenylcyclopropane-1- carbonyl chloride is a chiral compound that belongs to the class of phenyl group. It has been shown to be an agonist of the β-adrenergic receptor and may be a potent modulator of this receptor. The racemic mixture has been shown to have a structure consisting of two enantiomers, which are mirror images of each other. (1R, 2R) -2-phenylcyclopropane-1- carbonyl chloride is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of benzoate and ester derivatives. It can also be used for the separation of racemates into their respective enantiomers by high performance liquid chromatography or liquid chromatography.
