Descrizione:
1-(Piperazin-1-yl)propan-2-ol is a piperazine derivative that has been shown to have cardiotonic activity. It may be used as an antiarrhythmic agent, antihypertensive, or antianginal drug. 1-(Piperazin-1-yl)propan-2-ol binds to the L type calcium channel in heart muscle cells and prevents calcium from entering the cell. This binding inhibits depolarization of the cell membrane and reduces the strength of contractions.
