Descrizione:
S-Phenyl-L-cysteine is a metabolite of selenium that is formed by the conversion of selenocysteine to cysteine and then to S-phenyl-L-cysteine. This compound has been proposed as a potential biomarker for oxidative stress in humans, due to its presence in human serum, blood cells, and urine. It has also been shown to be an effective dose for chemoenzymatic detection of human DNA.
