Informazioni sul prodotto
3-Phenoxythiophene is a chromophore that reversibly changes color in response to an electric field. The color change is due to the decrease of the ionization energy of the cation and anion radicals. 3-Phenoxythiophene is a quinoid with a molecular weight of 56.3 g/mol and a radical form that is paramagnetic, which can be observed using electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). 3-Phenoxythiophene has been used in electrochemical studies such as measurements of chloride ions and polymerized phenoxy groups.
