Descrizione

Propylene glycol monomethyl ether propionate is a hydroxy group containing compound that can be used as a cross-linking agent. It has been shown to form a film on the surface of hydrophobic plastics such as polyethylene or polypropylene. Propylene glycol monomethyl ether propionate has been used in the production of polymer films and photocopies, as well as in the preparation of coating compositions for photographic film. This chemical is also an intermediate in the synthesis of other molecules. The kinetics data for this chemical have been obtained by studying ternary mixtures and light exposure experiments, with cleavage products being found from radiation and patterning experiments.
