Informazioni sul prodotto
- D-Phe(F)5-OHH-Pentafluoro-D-Phe-OH(R)-2-Amino-3-pentafluorophenylpropionic acid
- Pentafluoro-D-Phenylalanine
Pentafluoro-D-phenylalanine (PFP) is a synthetic analog of L-phenylalanine that interacts with the L-type calcium channel in the brain. PFP binds to the receptor site and stabilizes it, preventing calcium ions from binding to the channel. It has been used in clinical trials for the treatment of hypertension and schizophrenia, as well as in animal studies for its interaction with collagen and oxytocin receptors. PFP has also been used for the synthesis of supramolecular complexes and cellular tissues.
