H2N-PEG3-tBu is a fluorescent molecule that can be used in affinity labeling. It is also sensitive and can be activated by irradiation with UV light, making it useful for fluorescence microscopy techniques. H2N-PEG3-tBu has been shown to inhibit the growth of organisms such as Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis, and Streptococcus pneumoniae.
