RQ-00203078 is a CB2 receptor agonist that has been shown to inhibit the activity of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) in vitro and in vivo. MMP-9 is an enzyme that plays a role in the breakdown of extracellular matrix proteins, which are important for tissue homeostasis and regeneration. RQ-00203078 has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on cancer cells, as well as a non-selective cation channel inhibitor. This drug has been shown to be active against bladder cancer, as well as other cancers such as prostate and colon cancer. RQ-00203078 has also been observed to activate the acid transporter in the brainstem, which may contribute to its anti-inflammatory effects.br>br>
