This process creates a mixture of (1R,2S)-rel-2-(3,4-difluorophenyl)cyclopropanamine and (1S,2R)-rel-2-(3,4-difluorophenyl)cyclopropanamine. The analytical method for this compound is to react it with thionyl chloride in the presence of an acidic catalyst.
