2-Sulfobenzoic acid hydrate is a sulfur-containing compound that has been shown to have potent inhibition of the hepg2 cell, which is a stem cell-like cancer cell. It also inhibits desulfurization in cancer cells by inhibiting the cysteine desulfurase activity. 2-Sulfobenzoic acid hydrate has been shown to act on the wnt/β-catenin pathway and β-catenin, which are proteins involved in cancer development. Studies have shown that this drug may be useful for enhancing the anticancer activity of other drugs.
