Descrizione

Triethylene glycol bis(chloroformate) is a chloroformate ester that is used as a polymerization initiator in the production of polycarbonates. It is a viscous liquid with a high boiling point. Triethylene glycol bis(chloroformate) has been shown to be resistant to hydrolysis, and it can be used as an aliphatic hydrocarbon substitute. It also has high resistance to abdominal surgery and evaporation. The ester can be polymerized into polymers, which are resistant to acid or alkali environments. This chemical has been found to inhibit bacterial growth by binding to the ribosome and preventing protein synthesis, leading to cell death.
