N,N,N',N'-Tetramethyl-1,8-naphthalene diamine is a protonated diamine that has been shown to be cytotoxic in vitro. It has been found to bind with high affinity to intracellular targets and transfer reactions. N,N,N',N'-Tetramethyl-1,8-naphthalene diamine is also able to induce oxidative stress in the cell. This chemical compound also has a synergic effect with other drugs and can be used as an adjuvant therapy for autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The nitrogen atoms in this compound are not bound to hydrogen atoms and have a high chemical stability.
