Descrizione:
The 4-(trifluoromethoxy)benzoyl chloride is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme sulfate adenylyltransferase. It inhibits the entry of sulfate into the cell, which disrupts cellular growth. The analog of this molecule has been shown to inhibit an enzyme that is involved in cellular growth and development. This inhibition may be due to conformational changes in the active site or by binding of oxygen atoms on the phenyl ring. Strategies for synthesizing this molecule include reactions with oxygen and nitrogen-containing compounds, such as amides and nitriles, respectively.
